Every day, people in Mississippi face the life-altering impact of paralysis. Whether caused by spinal cord injury, stroke, or conditions like MS, the challenges are real — and ongoing.
At the Mississippi Paralysis Association (MPA), we believe that paralysis doesn’t have to mean the end of independence. Since 1983, we’ve been helping individuals and families across the state access the tools, support, and opportunities they need to live full and empowered lives.
Your donation brings freedom, dignity, financial relief, and hope.
Real People. Real Impact.
Every donation goes directly toward improving lives right here in Mississippi. Whether helping a young person get their first sports chair, or modifying a veteran’s home to safely navigate it in a wheelchair, you make that possible.
Where Your Donation Goes?
Your support funds:
• Monthly food boxes
• Durable medical equipment/essential daily supplies such as wheelchairs, walkers, adaptive tools, catheters and colostomy bags
• Bathroom and home accessibility modification and upgrades
• Wheelchair ramps and lifts
• Research, programs, and awareness campaigns
• Peer counseling and group meetings
•College scholarships for individuals with paralysis
And more. We tailor grants to the individual, because no two lives are the same.
We serve people of all ages and backgrounds — from new injuries to lifelong conditions. Our work is personal. And it’s powerful.
“I didn’t know where to turn until MPA stepped in. Their support gave me the tools—and hope to regain independence.”

Thank You for Making a Difference!
Because of you, someone is closer to freedom, independence, and hope.
Your generous donation to the Mississippi Paralysis Association is more than a gift — it’s a lifeline. It means a mother can safely move through her home. A student can return to school with the equipment they need. A veteran can access his own front door without fear.
From all of us at the Mississippi Paralysis Association:
Thank you. Truly.
