Today, the Mississippi Paralysis Association is governed by a Board of Directors, all of whom are living with paralysis. Due to their disabilities, the Board of Directors feel they can relate to the trials faced by people living with paralysis.

a board member of MPA I take great pride in helping people with spinal cord injuries. After all who can better understand the needs of a person with a spinal cord injury other than a spinal cord injury patient. As a victim of gun violence back in 1982 I still try my best to make life as normal as possible. As a board member of MPA we do the best to make life normal as we can for people in a wheelchair. MPA board members deliver New Life Kits, and Food boxes to new spinal cord injury patients while they last. However, founding is short all too often there are so many people falling victim to spinal cord injuries around the world. MPA needs your help in providing services for spinal cord injury patients with your donations.

I experienced a life-changing accident, while on a school bus, which initially left me paralyzed from the neck down. Despite the challenges, I have achieved significant milestones such as, earning my bachelor’s degree in art, and becoming an advocate for the Mississippi Paralysis Association. My interests include engaging in painting and drawing, watching movies, spending time outdoors, following sports, and providing support to individuals who have undergone similar traumatic experiences.
